    As a kid, I stayed with an aunt during school hols, and years later, she told me her Alsatian puppy became a 'hopper' after spending a Summer hanging with my rabbit!

    It's amazing how much an animals very nature can be changed just by removing it from it's natural element. Clearly this was the entire point behind integration, and it's worked wonders. Obviously not to raise them to our level, that was never the goal, but to lower us to theirs (and it worked, extremely well, and extremely fast).
